Description
The Aircraft Component Engineering Technician Translates engineering designs into practical applications by assisting in the development and modification of equipment. The role specifically supports the inspection, repair, overhaul, and testing of aircraft components in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role will report to the Sr Engineer Manager. This role will have no direct reports. What you will be responsible for Testing and Evaluation: Conduct functional and operational tests on repaired and overhauled components using specialized test equipment and procedures. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and components. Maintenance and Calibration: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of technical equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and operational readiness. Documentation and Reporting: Document test results, maintain accurate project records, and prepare technical reports and presentations. Quality Assurance: Inspect products and processes to ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards Process Improvement: Analyze existing operations and provide suggestions for improvements in efficiency and productivity Qualifications: What you will need to be successful in this role High School Diploma or GED Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles and methodologies. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Proficiency with relevant tools and equipment, including calibration and testing instruments. Previous knowledge and experience within the Aerospace Industry. *This role involves working with mechanical or electrical equipment, and strict adherence to all safety protocols is required.
