Purpose
The Control Systems Engineer/Technician plays a crucial role in the global fixed plant control team, focusing on sustaining and enhancing the availability, utilization, and integrity of industrial control systems across Newmont’s global fixed plant assets. This role provides technical expertise for DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, supporting site, regional, and central teams with configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The incumbent contributes to sustaining capital projects and standardization efforts, manages vendor relationships for upgrades and cybersecurity, and ensures adherence to change management processes. Additionally, the role involves mentoring and developing global fixed plant control personnel, staying abreast of industry best practices, and traveling extensively to collaborate with technical resources and global teams.
The Newmont Control Systems team, based in the Vancouver Regional office, is currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer/Technician, to work in a hybrid role, with a competitive base salary between $91,000.00 - $146,880 per annum. The awarded salary will be dependant on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. The compensation package includes a comprehensive Benefits plan, Vacation allotment, RRSP with organizational matching, and a Travel accommodations as required.
The successful candidate will work up to a few days each week from the Vancouver, BC regional office. Domestic and international travel to different work sites will be required, as per the needs of the team.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ $91,800 - 146,880. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
