Job Description Position Summary We are seeking a Telecom & Field Network Infrastructure Design Engineer to support multi-disciplinary master-planning and infrastructure projects across the GCC The role focuses on site-wide telecommunications, OSP fiber networks, ICT corridors, field connectivity, and authority-compliant digital infrastructure design for large-scale developments, utilities, and smart cities The successful candidate will lead the planning and design of fiber backbones, ICT & Security ducting, telecom corridors, PoP / MMR facilities, GSM and field networks, ensuring resilient, scalable, and regulation-compliant digital infrastructure solutions Key Responsibilities Plan, design and engineer site-wide telecom and field communication infrastructure, including fiber backbones, ICT corridors, OSP networks, and field connectivity for smart city, security, and ICT systems Develop telecom network layouts, fiber routing, duct bank sizing, manhole strategies, PoP / MMR room planning and corridor allocation across large developments Produce design drawings, layouts and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit for Concept, Detailed Design and Tender stages Lead the development of passive infrastructure including duct banks, handholes, chambers, poles, cabinets, and containment systems for ICT and Security networks. Prepare technical design reports, authority submission packages and NOC documentation Coordinate with civil, utilities, landscape, transport and master-planning teams to integrate telecom corridors within site-wide infrastructure and utilities networks Key Skills Strong expertise in OSP fiber networks, telecom corridor planning, duct bank design and site-wide field networking Deep understanding of ICT / Telecom infrastructure capacity planning for large-scale developments and critical infrastructure projects. Proven experience with MMR / PoP room planning, backbone fiber architecture, security & network integration Excellent knowledge of UAE / KSA / GCC telecom, ICT and security authority regulations and approval workflows Strong reporting, communication and technical documentation skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Electrical Engineering or related discipline. 5–8+ years of experience in telecom, ICT and field infrastructure design for large-scale or critical infrastructure projects. Certifications such as BICSI RCDD, CCNA/CCNP, DCDC, Uptime ATD, PMP are highly preferred Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, Bluebeam Prior engineering consultancy / master-planning infrastructure experience is highly desirable Additional Information About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
