We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our engineering team as a Engineer.
As a Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Residence club and the systems on property. You will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our residents

Responsibilities

ROLE: ENGINEER

Salary: £35,000 pa. 4 on 4 off (12hr shift pattern) average 42hr per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance checks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure their optimal functioning.
  • Attend to guest requests promptly and efficiently, addressing maintenance-related issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, conducting repairs or coordinating with external contractors when necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and security systems of the premises, including fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and CCTV cameras.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Desk, to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.
  • Respond to emergencies and urgent situations, taking immediate action to mitigate risks and minimize disruption to business operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in engineering to enhance operational efficiency.

What are we Looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Shift Engineer/Engineer or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Technical certifications or trade licenses are desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire and life safety systems.
  • Proficient in performing repairs and maintenance tasks related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Familiarity with energy management and conservation practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests, colleagues, and external contractors.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces if required.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety and building codes and regulations.
