Job DetailsJob Location: The Standard Spa, Miami Beach - MIAMI BEACH, FL 33139Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 HourlyWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation of our spa hotel’s facilities. This role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as maintaining the spa and wellness areas to provide a flawless guest experience. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities, including guestrooms, public areas, spa facilities, pools, and back-of-house areas. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure uninterrupted operation. Maintain spa-specific equipment such as saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, and relaxation pools to meet safety and hygiene standards. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations. Assist in managing the Building Management System (BMS) and energy efficiency programs. Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory levels. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, working closely with the relevant departments to uphold hotel standards. Support emergency maintenance situations, including power outages, plumbing leaks, and HVAC failures. Collaborate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Technician, or similar role in a hotel, resort, or spa environment. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Experience with pool and spa maintenance, including water chemistry and filtration systems (CPO certification is a plus). Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including fire safety and OSHA standards. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment efficiently. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs for extended periods. Comfortable working in confined spaces, on rooftops, and in varying temperatures or humid environments (such as spa areas, saunas, and boiler rooms). Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and perform tasks requiring physical endurance. Qualifications
