Description

Overview
At Foot Locker, we’re not just delivering sneakers, we’re building a next-generation logistics network. With our brand-new, state-of-the-art Distribution Center (DC) in Haps now live, we’re looking for a Transportation Engineer to help power our delivery operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
You’ll be hands-on with data, process improvements, and carrier relationships to make sure our stores and customers get what they need, when they need it. Efficiently, reliably, and cost-effectively.
This is a role with high visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and direct impact. If you thrive on making procedures run smarter and smoother every day, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize outbound transportation flows from our new DC. Balancing service quality, cost, and operational performance.
  • Own and improve partnerships with our carriers: onboarding, performance tracking, SLA management, and contract support.
  • Dive deep into transportation data (B2B + B2C) to identify trends, improve delivery reliability, and support smarter decisions.
  • Lead or support logistics projects, from tenders and delivery innovation to market research and process rollouts.
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Helpdesk, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Contribute to budgeting and reporting, helping us monitor KPIs and optimize spending.
  • Provide hands-on support across the Transportation team when needed. We’re a team-first environment.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in transportation, carrier management, or logistics operations.
  • Strong analytical mindset- confident working with data to drive improvements; Power BI is a plus.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and organized, you’re comfortable in a dynamic & fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, you connect dots between teams and work well across functions.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (written & spoken).

Benefits

  • Recognition, inclusion and belonging in a diverse environment.
  • 25 holidays and flexible working (hybrid position, in office 3 days p/w).
  • Employee Discount on in-store and online products.
  • Casual Sneaker Culture.
  • Learning & Health/Wellbeing programs.
  • Career development and growth in an ambitious international team.
  • Travel reimbursement.
  • Pension Plan.
  • Discounted Collective Health plans.
  • Activities organized by our Social Committee.
