OVERVIEW We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Engineer to join our Building Operations team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general infrastructure. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all building occupants. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Respond promptly to maintenance requests, service calls, fire alarms, elevator problems, and emergencies Troubleshoot, repair, install, maintain, and upgrade the following systems: o Refrigeration/HVAC systems o Electrical systems o Plumbing systems (including domestic hot & cold-water systems) o Steam systems, hydronic heating and cooling systems o Sanitary waste systems o Pool/Whirlpool equipment & systems o BAS/fire alarm systems o Kitchen equipment & systems o Laundry equipment & systems o Building control systems o Cable TV & A/V equipment Recommend building repair and maintenance requirements, continuously improving the scope of preventative and predictive maintenance Order and maintain adequate supplies to keep up with the Club’s needs concerning engineering-related supplies and equipment. Other duties as assigned. Clean and maintain mechanical areas and related equipment Attend Building Operations department meetings and offer input POSITION QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in trade and building maintenance Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems Proficient with electromechanical troubleshooting and able to read one line diagrams, schematics, and control logic on both low and high volt systems Basic welding skills and ability to use a wide variety of mechanical tools, both hand and power Refrigeration License Preferred – EPA section 608 technician certification Service and communication skills for members and team members (both in person and on the phone) Must be able to adjust work schedule for occasional off-hours and/or on-call special projects. Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
