Responsibilities: Teach assigned courses in engineering disciplines, delivering lectures, labs, or online content as required. Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and assessments, in alignment with program objectives. Engage students through active learning techniques, such as hands-on projects, case studies, or simulations. Provide timely feedback and grades on student assignments, exams, and projects. Hold office hours (virtual or in-person) to support student advising and mentoring. Collaborate with full-time faculty and program coordinators to ensure curriculum alignment and academic quality. Stay current in the field through professional development or industry engagement to enhance teaching effectiveness. Adhere to institutional policies, accreditation standards, and academic integrity guidelines. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, or related field). Master’s or Ph.D. preferred. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in engineering or a related industry. Prior teaching experience at the college level or relevant training experience in industry settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to student-centered teaching. Proficiency in engineering software/tools relevant to the discipline (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or programming languages like Python or C++). Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Engineering or a related field. Industry certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE) license, Six Sigma, or similar). Experience with curriculum development or accreditation processes (e.g., ABET). Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and online teaching platforms.
