Te Tūranga /About the role: We’re looking for an organised and practical Engineering Administrator to join our team at Silver Fern Farms Pareora, a multi-species processing site. In this role, you’ll provide essential administrative support to the engineering team and assist in the successful introduction of change and improvement. Your work will help reduce equipment downtime, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and keep our operations running smoothly. Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day administrative support to the engineering team, including data entry and maintaining accurate records. Schedule and coordinate maintenance work in conjunction with the Engineering Planner, Engineering Manager, and Team Leaders. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements, including contractor inductions and hazard management. Assist with planning and allocation of work to optimise production and maintenance outcomes. Support accurate reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and confidently liaise with contractors and suppliers. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and support the wider team. Excellent computer literacy, including experience with data entry, spreadsheets, and maintenance systems, and the ability to learn new tools quickly. A strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance standards, ensuring you and those around you work safely and follow best practice every day.
