EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • Proficient in MS packages
  • (Word/Excel/SharePoint)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Desirable

  • Familiarity with basic Engineering concepts and terminology
  • Familiarity with ERP, PLM, or MRP systems (e.g. SAP, ARAS, Odoo
  • Experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The position is integral to supporting the engineering department by working on administrative functions to provide work continuity, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering. You will need to interact and develop good professional relationships with all co-workers for all our jobs to be done effectively, as well be able to prioritise and work in an organised and methodical fashion.
This role is advertised as full time but we will consider part time applications with a minimum of 25 hours per week.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble production files (e.g. print drawing packs, assembly records)
  • Prepare and distribute documents for Engineering Projects, and teams
  • Create production boxes, pick stock items and fill in assembly records
  • Obtain quotes for parts from suppliers
  • Raise purchase orders
  • Update purchase orders / drawing packs / assembly records / bill of materials
  • Complete goods in checks and paperwork
  • Arrange procedures such as welding, strain gauges, surface treatment etc
  • Create and maintain project plans and circulate to engineers
  • Arrange shipping and prepare shipping documentation
  • Assist with assembly photos and creation of new manuals / Work Instructions
  • Populate engineering chain notifications where required
  • Perform other duties as necessary to meet customer and company goals
