EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Must fill minimum time-in-position and performance management code requirement of V2
  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field of study
  • 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred
  • Experience with Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology is preferred
  • Certification and experience using Time and Motion Study methods (MOST, Time Studies, etc.) is preferred
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visual Basic, SQL, Word and Visio.
  • Clarifies and resolves complex business issues by breaking them down into meaningful components to determine root cause and redesigning internal and external business processes.
  • Writes, speaks, and presents clearly and succinctly across a variety of communication settings and adjusts communication style to the audience by translating and articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups.
  • Demonstrates originality and imagination in thinking while developing a solution to a problem.
Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE

The Engineering Analyst uses continuous improvement and analytical methods to understand, model, and improve supply chain productivity.

ANALYSTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Measuring / analyzing current and proposed process metrics
  • Identifying inefficiencies within the supply chain
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to brainstorm and implement solutions
    This position requires a self-starter, detail oriented individual able to support multiple projects and/or business functions, possesses excellent communication skills, works well with a team, interacts with multiple levels and functions with the supply chain organization, and able to manage relationships.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using Lean/Six Sigma principles to identify savings opportunities within the supply chain
  • Use analytical methods to model/quantify current and future state performance and costs
  • Facilitate discussions with key business stakeholders (i.e. Operations, IT) to generate solution ideas and provide status updates and reporting
  • Develop and manage action plans associated with improvement initiatives
  • Create cost-benefit analyses to justify the purchase of assets and equipment
  • Identify and communicate process opportunities through the creation of process/value stream maps
  • Collection of data to support analyses, either systemically or by observational methods
  • Prepare and present project details/updates when necessary
