ABOUT THE JOB.

National Highways have an opportunity for an Engineering and Construction Assurance Manager to join our team in Bristol. Your role will entail leading in developing annual programmes to include cyclical and reactive maintenance activities. You will also be overseeing and controlling the delivery of inspection, maintenance and repair works across the asset, ensuring all activities, whether routine or reactive, meet the required technical, quality and safety standards with a strong focus on customer service.

All to make sure National Highways customers have safer, smoother, and more reliable journeys.
External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage high quality cyclical maintenance work plans in line with agreed business goals, outcomes, budget and service level agreements.
  • Oversee effective delivery of the annual maintenance programme, including inspections and provide on site assurance of Contractor workmanship.
  • Manage responses to inspections, reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring that all works are delivered on time and within budget through effective project and financial management. Oversee repair works to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
  • Liaise with the Service Provider, Consultants, National Highways and to generally represent the Company in an advisory or directly supportive role as directed
  • Manage and monitor the performance of staff and the supply chain in respect of health and safety ensuring they fulfil their personal and organisational obligations with regard to the health, safety and wellbeing of both themselves and customers at all times.
