Description
Description Support design, manufacturing and cost comparison assessments of advance powertrain and vehicle technologies in both the light-duty (automotive) and commercial vehicle space. Project objectives include evaluating the major design and manufacturing modifications required to conventional vehicles in the adaptation of advance powertrain systems, subsystems and components. Responsibilities: Vehicle hardware disassembly and bill of material development Photographing and video support of high impact vehicle systems Design and Manufacturing attribute review and analysis Development of manufacturing and cost models, supporting financial assessment of different advance technologies Developing financial sensitivity models for key electric vehicle systems (i.e., high voltage batteries, traction motors, etc.) to understand the short-term and long-term cost drivers associated with these technologies Preparation of Customer Presentations and Final Report Requirements Passionate about advance mobility technology Moderate experience working with MS Excel and PowerPoint Good combination of theory and practical experience when it comes to evaluating new technologies Fairly knowledgeable in working with mechanic and lab tools Preferred Qualifications: Enjoys disassembling technology to understand how it works Basic skills in photography Enjoys interacting with team members, discussing how to innovate further on new technologies Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities
