We are currently seeking an Engineering Authority Manager to join our Melbourne team!

Responsibilities

This is a leadership role within our Operator Technical Team, responsible for ensuring operator requirements are embedded into the design and delivery of a future GoA4 system. This role will bring an operations and maintenance lens to the development of key project elements, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability standards are met across the project lifecycle.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Establishing and leading a high-performing Engineering Authority Team with strong GoA4 expertise
  • Leading the development of concept documentation for operations, depot, maintenance, and rolling stock
  • Ensuring operator needs are captured in system requirements and maintained throughout the project delivery lifecycle
  • Conducting technical reviews of design packages, proof engineering, verification reports, TMPs, and adherence to engineering standards
  • Issuing design certificates and supporting the V cycle through each stage
  • Participating in design workshops, integration forums, and technical working groups
  • Chairing the Engineering Review Committee (ERC) and overseeing multi-discipline engineering reviews including Safety, Systems Engineering, RAM, Human Factors, EMC/EMI and more
  • Reviewing and approving O&M manuals, procedures, and relevant type approvals
  • Providing technical leadership and input into project baseline standards, change proposals, and competency frameworks
