HYBRID POSITION - MINIMUM 3 DAYS/WEEK ON-SITE

Are you a highly technical and business-savvy professional with a strong background in engineering? We are seeking an ambitious Engineering Business Manager to join our engineering contracting company. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, strategic business acumen, and a proven ability to lead and execute complex engineering projects from conception to completion.

REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in a technical engineering role.
  • Proven track record of business-related accomplishments within an engineering or technical environment.
  • Experienced in creating and executing comprehensive project plans.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering is required. (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial or similar discipline).
  • A Master of Science (MS) in a technical field or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in an engineering or technical management role

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring they align with business objectives and are executed on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the technical expert, providing guidance and oversight to cross-functional engineering teams in both public and private sectors (Department of Defense security clearance will be required).
  • Identify new business opportunities, build client relationships, and translate technical capabilities into compelling business proposals.
  • Supervise and mentor engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Act as the key liaison between engineering, sales, and senior management to ensure seamless project delivery and communication.
