Line Management experience: you’ll bring experience of, or a vision for, managing a team to successful project outcomes with a focus on their own development.
Software Development Expertise: You have a solid grounding in software engineering principles, including coding, architecture, testing, and deployment. You understand the challenges of building scalable, maintainable software in a multidisciplinary environment.
Digital Manufacturing Insight (Desirable): Experience in applying software development to manufacturing contexts—such as automation, data platforms, or digital twins—is a plus.
Critically though, you’re an aspiring leader, with an ethos of continuous improvement and a knack for motivating engineers toward a unified goal. You have no problem managing complex systems and change, championing collaborative work with internal and external stakeholders.

As Engineering Capability Lead at the NCC, you’re the focal point for your capability group. You’ll lead a diverse team of software developers, empowering them to deliver high-impact digital solutions that support advanced manufacturing and engineering innovation. From developing robust applications and tools to enabling seamless integration across systems, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the NCC’s digital future.
