Engineering Chapter Leader Schneider Electric – Pacific Development Center (PDC) Location: Adelaide Schneider Electric is shaping the future of energy and automation. Based in Adelaide, we’re looking for an experienced Engineering Chapter Leader to lift engineering capability, strengthen technical excellence, and lead a thriving community of practice across electrical, mechanical, firmware, test/validation and sustaining engineering. This is a leadership role where you’ll mentor engineers, set standards, and ensure our teams deliver safe, reliable, sustainable, and connected products for the Pacific market. What You’ll Do Set and uplift engineering standards, playbooks, design practices, and compliance frameworks. Provide technical leadership and guidance to squads on architecture, design assurance, and key delivery gates. Ensure robust requirements, verification/validation coverage, and compliance (IEC/NZS, EMC, safety, cybersecurity). Build engineering capability: coaching, mentoring, skill pathways, and workforce planning. Lead continuous improvement, engineering reuse, and digital engineering initiatives. Partner closely with Product Management, Industrialization, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Care, and global R&D (including Adelaide). Report chapter health, risks, capability metrics, and quality outcomes. What You Bring Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Firmware/Embedded Systems or similar. 10+ years in product engineering/R&D with 3+ years leading people, teams or engineering communities. Strong experience with electromechanical or connected/embedded product development. Knowledge of IEC/NZS compliance, reliability, EMC, DfX, and engineering quality frameworks. Hands‑on experience with PLM/ALM, CAD/ECAD, design reviews, V&V. Proven leadership and coaching skills — able to grow talent, influence across teams, and build high‑performing engineering culture.
