Job Details Attalon, a small, high tech, engineering design and development company, has an opening for a creative engineering co-op to assist the R&D teams in the design and implementation of several new products and equipment. The position offers hands-on experience with projects bridging the gaps between mechanical, materials, electrical, and computer engineering. Products made at this facility are used in various applications for a wide range of companies that include Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Orbital-ATK, and NASA. The processes used here at Attalon are diverse and allow a variety of applications to be addressed. The position offers experience with manufacturing, military- aerospace, metrology, materials development and characterization, photolithography, patterned optical component manufacturing and assembly, digital printing systems, inspection, and test systems.  Responsibilities * Supports Engineering Team by performing various lower-level project engineering related tasks under close supervision of the Engineering Manager or Project Engineers * Performs engineering activities for design, development, and implementation of new products, tooling, and manufacturing processes * Supports engineering manager and manufacturing on assigned projects Minimum Qualifications * Employee must be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a B.S. program in an Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry program * Strong verbal and written technical communication skills. * Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheet software, including MS Word and Excel Preferred Qualifications * Strong analytical, creativity, and problem solving skills. * Strong organization skills and attention to details required * Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Attalon, Inc. is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
