Description Metro Engineering Solutions is looking for an Engineering Co-Op to join our team. MES is a multifaceted utility and telecommunications engineering firm serving clients throughout the Midwest. The Engineering Co-Op is responsible for working effectively in a variety of computer systems and software applications while providing internal and power utility clients with utility design services and solutions needed to accurately construct OH/UG power distribution systems. Requirements Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program related to Electrical or Civil Engineering. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or other design/drafting software. Basic programming knowledge (C/C++, Python, or similar). Good written and verbal communication. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions. Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Co-Op will be responsible for effectively utilizing various computer systems and software applications to provide utility design services and solutions to internal and power utility clients. This involves supporting the accurate construction of overhead and underground power distribution systems.
