We are looking for a positive and motivated Engineering Co-Op Student to join our Community Infrastructure and Development team in Victoria, BC for a 4–8-month term, beginning May 2025. What You’ll Do

  • Construction services including field reviews and contract administration as required
  • Maintain sewer and drain condition assessment spreadsheeting
  • Preparation of linear infrastructure design drawings and tender documents
  • Organizing, managing, and monitoring the performance of project sites, equipment inventory, maintenance, and ordering
  • Assist with design tasks including calculations, technical report writing, and cost estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of technical databases and computer-based models
  • Data collection, analysis, and management

What You’ll Bring

  • A positive and motivated personality!
  • Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering program or similar.
  • You know your way around the MS Office suite of products and are keen to grow your skills in new areas
  • Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS would be an asset.
  • You are passionate about building a career in water/municipal infrastructure and related fields.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role.
  • You’ve got a clean Driver’s Abstract, are willing to travel
  • Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.
