Description:
We are looking for a positive and motivated ENGINEERING CO-OP STUDENT to join our Facilities Design team for a 12-month term (preferred), beginning May 15, 2025, with a passion for delivering the right solution to serve each client’s unique needs. What You’ll Do
- Construction services including field reviews and reporting as well as assistance with the administration of contracts as required
- Liaise with contractors on client sites during field inspections
- Preparation of design drawings and tender documents
- Assist with design tasks including calculations, technical report writing, and cost estimates
- Assist in the preparation of technical databases and computer-based models
- Data collection, analysis, and management
- Attend project meetings and record critical information
- Maintain files and correspondence on active and completed projects.
What You’ll Bring

- Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering program or similar
- You know your way around the MS Office suite of products and are keen to grow your skills in new areas
- Previous work experience in the consulting or construction industry would be an asset
- Experience with AutoCAD and ArcGIS would be an asset.
- You are passionate about building a career in water/municipal infrastructure and related fields.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role.
- You’ve got a clean Driver’s Abstract, are willing to travel
- Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.
