GRADUATION FROM AN ACCREDITED TECHNICAL SCHOOL PROGRAM OR A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY WITH AN ASSOCIATES OF TECHNOLOGY DEGREE IN CIVIL TECHNOLOGY.

  • Six (6) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for formal education as determined by the Department Director.
  • THREE (3) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF STREETS, HEAVY HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, EVALUATION, MATERIAL SAMPLING, REPAIR,rehabilitation, or inspection.
  • Bonus points if you have experience with the installation or construction of water or wastewater treatment facilities or have certification in specialty areas.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the City of Branson’s motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
  • Possess a valid Class B CDL license or obtain within twelve (12) months of start date. (A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before start date)
  • Possess or be able to obtain certification as a Work Zone Safety and Traffic Signal Technician within twelve (12) months of start date.
  • Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March.
  • Be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.

  • Lead Construction Projects Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure Quality & Compliance Inspect contractor work for adherence to standards in street, bridge, sewer, water, and municipal infrastructure projects.
  • Manage Costs & Contracts Estimate project costs, review bids, negotiate change orders, and track budgets.
  • Stay Hands-On Visit job sites, monitor progress, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in every phase of construction.
