Job Description
The Engineering Coordinator supports the department by overseeing administrative workflows, tracking maintenance schedules, liaising across departments, and ensuring seamless operations across guest areas and back-of-house facilities. This role is vital for driving efficient operations, timely task completions, quality reporting, and continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–3 years in coordination/administrative roles within hospitality or facilities management
  • Secondary-level or professional technical education in building, architecture, facilities management, or equivalent
  • Comfortable using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general maintenance management software
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management capabilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication with all hotel levels
  • Proactive, resourceful, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with engineering concepts (mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems) a plus

Responsibilities
  • Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, follow up on outstanding issues, and ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare and administer routine reports, department meeting minutes, and operational paperwork.
  • Organize resources and set priorities—especially for maintenance workflows across guest rooms, communal areas, and infrastructure systems.
  • Coordinate with Engineering trades and external vendors to schedule services, repairs, and preventive maintenance, ensuring quality standards and cost efficiency.
  • Facilitate effective communication with departments like Housekeeping and Front Desk to promptly address guest-related maintenance requests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all engineering activities—including work orders, inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Support budgeting processes by tracking expenditures, preparing cost reports, and aiding the Engineering Manager in monitoring project timelines and budgets.
  • Uphold safety standards by ensuring compliance with local and hotel regulations. Assist in emergency response measures and support sustainability initiatives within the department.
