Description

Are you ready to redefine the store of the future? Do you have a passion for innovating and scaling world-class retail technology at an exhilarating pace?
Join the LEGO Group in an exciting new leadership role, where you will not only shape the future of Retail Technology within our Markets & Channels Technology (MCT) organisation, but also inspire others to embrace this journey. As a vital member of the MCT Leadership Team, you will report directly to our SVP, championing accountability, alignment, and excellence across our retail technology product portfolio.
Together, let’s move swiftly and purposefully toward a groundbreaking future in retail! If this resonates with you, we invite you to join us on this incredible adventure!

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

We are looking for a proven leader who combines strategic thinking with strong engineering and delivery expertise. Ideally, you bring:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience at Director level within Retail Tech, Enterprise Technology, or large-scale digital transformation.
  • Strong engineering background with knowledge of modern architectures, cloud solutions, and enterprise-grade technology platforms.
  • Success in leading large, diverse engineering and delivery organizations across internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to set strategy and execute at scale, driving alignment across business and technology stakeholders.
  • A track record of improving efficiency and clarity by streamlining ownership, governance, and prioritization.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and align cross-functional teams.
  • International mindset/experience and fluency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Can-do mindset who’s not afraid to push for results and deal with challenges along the way. The ability to manage any stressful situation is required to achieve those results.
  • Stong commercial acumen who has extensive experience working with Procurement, Finance and wider business teams to achieve an outcome.
  • Strong POS and Payments experience, a solid understanding of Omnichannel and a clear view on what’s required to make retail experiences ‘magic’ both for Shoppers and our in-store teams.

Be part of building the future of retail technology at the LEGO Group — and help create experiences that inspire millions of shoppers worldwide.
Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. However, please note we do amend or withdraw our jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to any advertised closing date. So, if you’re interested in this role we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Take full ownership and accountability for the LEGO Group’s Retail Technology portfolio — including areas previously spread across Shopper Tech, Partner Tech, and grey IT.
  • Lead engineering, strategic partnerships and delivery across new and existing Retail Tech products, services and solutions, ensuring consistency, scalability, and strategic alignment.
  • Provide clear decision-making and prioritization to address inefficiencies and unlock missed opportunities from the current scattered ownership model.
  • Build and lead strong internal engineering teams, while managing external workers and service partners effectively.
  • You must be seen as a ‘bridge builder’ who is extremely passionate about high quality partnerships and strong technical delivery to back it up.
  • Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Markets & Channels to ensure technology delivery supports business goals and customer experiences.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices across architecture, delivery, and operations.
  • Drive a culture of accountability and collaboration, enabling high-performing product teams and sustainable delivery.
  • You run by numbers and are very effective at measuring effectiveness. Likewise, you take pride in failures and use them as a badge of honor to do better in the future.
