We are looking for a career-minded Engineering Drafter (Drafter) to assist in the development of technical design documentation. The Drafter will work with the engineering team converting 3D CAD models to technical drawings for client approvals, vendors, fabrication, and any other potential needs. The Drafter may also assist in the development of technical documentation related to various CAM requirements (laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC routing, etc.).This position requires an individual with a strong concern for quality and accuracy with a results-oriented focus. The work involves critical and technical thinking and problem solving based on detailed knowledge of the projects and thorough analysis of relevant details. There is a focus on self-direction, freedom of ideas, and creative solutions. The Drafter position will be rewarding to someone with a good sense of humor, resourceful mindset, and ability to handle multiple tasks at once. The right candidate will have a professional demeanor and make sound, well thought-out decisions to ensure quality and accuracy in all aspects of design from concept to final project close-out documentation. Job Summary and Job Functions Consistently and efficiently lead the development of 2-dimensional technical documentation Provide design assistance as needed from the Engineering and Operations teams May assist in the design of projects or project elements May assist in the development of 3D CAD models Working knowledge of fabrication methods and welding techniques (AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2) preferred Masters Britten Inc software systems, processes and procedures quickly, and consistently shares ideas for improvement May work directly and independently with outside engineering and architectural service providers Continuously seeks out ways to increase the profitability of the organization Maintains a high level of respect and communication with internal and external clients Utilizes current industry trends, materials, and technologies to support engineering and manufacturing Align with and believe in the company core values: We Say Yes, We Hustle, We Think Bigger, We Keep Promises, We Build People Up Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to be exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position.
