Responsibilities

1. JOB PURPOSE

Management of Engineering resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the company’s planned
preventative maintenance scheme as well as responding to equipment faults and failures with the appropriate
level of priority and ensuring the correct use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System
(Mainsaver) to capture all activity. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, the Engineering Shift
Manager must be able to support on-line fault finding and practical problem solving as well as the support of
Continuous Improvement activities.

2. ROLE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Effective management of week-ahead and day-to-day planned preventative maintenance schedules to

maximise reliability

  • Evaluate in-day breakdown and work requests and assign priority and appropriate resource to ensure

that Production Downtime is kept to 2% or below.

  • Working cross-functionally and across the Engineering team with appropriate communication to ensure

that priorities are understood and delivered and that there is effective escalation and reporting of issues

through the company MARA system.

  • Ensure the correct application of safety standards and safe behaviours during the execution of

maintenance activity

  • Assurance of the quality of delivered Maintenance & Repair activities
  • Ensuring all shift activity is captured in the Company CMMS (Mainsaver) · Identification of continuous improvement opportunities and involvement in CI projects. · Management of Direct Reports driving efficient and effective delivery of their roles as well as ensuring skills and competence are current and relevant to the roles as well as ensuring development as part of succession planning. · Responsible for ensuring that all engineering areas are maintained to the highest standards and in line with Good Manufacturing Practise “GMP” standards and that reports are adhering to those standards
