Ability to make a difference through our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, like Planet 21 Job Description We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our maintenance team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Handyman, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities are kept in excellent condition. Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting Install and assemble equipment and fixtures as needed Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations Maintain a clean and safe work environment Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors when necessary Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed Adhere to all safety regulations and building codes Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or related field Proficiency in general repair and maintenance skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting Basic knowledge of HVAC systems Ability to operate various power tools safely and effectively Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent time management and organizational abilities Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed Valid driver's license and clean driving record Relevant trade certifications are preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi is advantageous Additional Information Your team and working environment: Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is a unique resort; where exclusivity and luxury define every experience, every time.
