  • Fluent in Norwegian and technical English.

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g. NORSOK, DNV, EN, ASME, API, IEC, ATEX).
  • Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Technical curiosity and passion for emerging technologies.
  • Experience with ATEX mechanical and electro-mechanical certification.

We’re looking for a dynamic Engineering & Innovation Manager (E&IM) to head our Engineering & Technical Department in Norway. In this pivotal role, you’ll provide expert technical support across the organisation - from Client Services and Sales to Engineering Projects, Tenders, and New Product Development.
As the Engineering & Innovation Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of market and technology trends, delivering strategic insights and competitor analysis that empower our Senior Leadership and Sales Teams to make bold, informed decisions. Your work will directly contribute to business development, strengthen our market position, and fuel revenue growth through cutting-edge solutions.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver expert technical support across Rental & Service operations.
  • Lead and manage the Engineering & Technical Department.
  • Own and manage departmental budgets.
  • Drive engineering design and new product development.
  • Identify and develop innovative solutions and technologies.
  • Work across multiple disciplines: hydraulics, steam, electrical, mechanical, and more.
  • Manage intellectual property and innovation portfolio.
  • Support tenders and technical negotiations.
  • Lead New Product Development (NPD) processes and portfolio.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and global teams on innovation.
  • Assess technical and commercial risks in projects.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Innovation teams overseas regarding different initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop engineering competency & talent.
