Job Description
AECOM is seeking an Engineering Intern position to be based in Kitchener or Mississauga, ON.
This position is expected to begin in Sept 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • This is a co-op experience, designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
  • This position will involve a significant field work component inspecting stormwater management facilities and post processing of inspection findings

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree Civil, Environmental or Water Resource Engineering or similar discipline, and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
