Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to assist our Senior Engineering Manager in various types of engineering projects. This is a dynamic role that will require effective communication, project coordination, and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Engineering team, assisting with contractor management, and facilitating project reviews while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in or has completed an Engineering or a related post-secondary program or Completion of 3rd year of an Engineering program, preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of project management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience or coursework related to project coordination or engineering support.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in industrial settings and Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Experience with preparing technical documentation or reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of engineering documents including DRs, RFPs, RFQs, and ARs.
  • Develop presentations and reports for the project team.
  • Provide support for “on-floor” activities under the direction of Project Engineers.
  • Schedule and coordinate project review meetings.
  • Take meeting minutes and ensure action items are followed up on.
  • Maintain communication with team members to ensure all project milestones are met.
  • Ensure proper Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are in place.
  • Oversee the sign-in and sign-out process for contractors.
  • Lead contractors to the job site and explain the scope of work.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing project documentation to ensure all records are up-to-date and accessible.
