We are seeking a two Engineering Interns to support our government customer program in Titusville, FL at Kennedy Space Center. This role is a temporary, on-site position. Work location: Onsite in an office environment at Kennedy Space Center, FL. Local intern candidates preferred. Relocation assistance, housing, or stipends are not provided. Security: Must be a US Citizen to successful complete a government issued background investigations and gain access to the Kennedy Space Center in support of the Orion Program (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years) Program dates: 10-week summer internship, June 1 – August 6, 2026 Hours: 32 hours per week Summary: This internship will assist in various engineering tasks as part of an Orion Systems Engineering team. The candidate will help prepare for and participate in the Artemis II Orion ground operations development with responsibilities including assisting with requirements development, working with ground support equipment, test and integration, evaluation of limited life items, developing concept of operations (conops) and other task to support launch processing. Education: Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other related degree program from an accredited college/university. Must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in college at the time of application submittal. Basic Qualifications: Ability to compile technical reports, procedures and project documentation as required. Knowledge of systems engineering techniques, tools, and processes. Proficiency with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. “Can do” positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in working in group projects in academia or industry is highly desired. Understanding of digital engineering capabilities such as model based systems engineering (MBSE). Interns will work closely with dedicated mentors and managers, fostering meaningful connections within our company while exploring a range of technology disciplines. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects developed by our tech experts. While extensive work experience is not required, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for emerging technological advancements are essential.
