Description The Summer Engineering Internship will provide hands on, practical experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment. Education and/or Experience 2-3 years completed of a Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or school. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The environment is typical for sheet metal equipment environment. At times we are required to work around fumes such as adhesives and chemicals or in the hot plant during the summer as needed. Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts as well as live electrical parts during development of products. Must have the ability to use equipment such as test and airflow measuring equipment. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Apply knowledge that has been gained from Engineering Bachelor's program to Engineering projects. Create and redesign CAD drawings to improve mechanical drawings and the design of the product. Assist in preparing project documents and documentation. Will work closely with Engineers, Project Leaders and Product Managers. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
The intern will apply knowledge gained from their Engineering Bachelor's program to practical engineering projects, including creating and redesigning CAD drawings to enhance mechanical drawings and product design. They will also assist in preparing necessary project documents and documentation while collaborating closely with Engineers, Project Leaders, and Product Managers.
