Description As a Process Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our engineering team to assist in optimizing and improving processes, ensuring production runs efficiently and meets quality standards. You will have the opportunity to apply your engineering knowledge in real-world scenarios, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to various projects aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing waste, and improving product quality. Process Improvement: Assist in evaluating, analyzing, and improving existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety compliance. Data Collection & Analysis: Support in collecting production data, analyzing trends, and identifying bottlenecks or inefficiencies in processes. Quality Control: Collaborate with quality engineers to ensure that the products meet the required quality standards and participate in troubleshooting quality-related issues. Testing and Validation: Help with the testing and validation of new processes and equipment. Participate in trial runs and collect data for analysis. Documentation: Assist in preparing technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow charts. Project Support: Collaborate with the engineering team on specific projects related to process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, and cost-saving strategies. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all processes comply with safety regulations and participate in risk assessments and safety audits. Cross-functional Collaboration: Interact with other departments (production, quality, maintenance, etc.) to support manufacturing operations and project goals. Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Basic understanding of process engineering principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (preferred). Preferred Skills: Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus. Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) tools and techniques. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
