Description Software and Electronics Intern At Radio Design Labs (RDL), we are passionate about innovation and creating cutting-edge radio design solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development and electronics design, contributing to the creation and optimization of the next-generation of our products. Requirements Software Development: Assist in designing, coding, and testing software solutions, including firmware, application software, and user interfaces for radio systems. Electronics Integration: Support the integration of software and hardware components, ensuring seamless system operation. Prototyping and Testing: Participate in developing, debugging, and refining prototypes, ensuring functionality and reliability. Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for software, hardware, and system processes. Team Collaboration: Work closely with experienced engineers to learn best practices, contribute to team goals, and address technical challenges. Research and Development: Support the team in exploring innovative solutions, including new tools, technologies, and methodologies. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Foundational knowledge of programming languages, such as C, C++, Python, and JavaScript. Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, or basic electronics design principles. Understanding of software development tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of real-time operating systems. Hands-on experience with electronic prototyping tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, soldering, breadboards). Awareness of digital signal processing techniques or network communication protocols. Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies in a fast-paced environment. Physical Demands Sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds. Use of computers and electronic testing equipment for extended periods. Working Environment Collaborative office and lab environment with occasional exposure to mechanical or operational testing areas.
