Description 7/11/2024 JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering Intern performs a variety of design/drafting activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the department. Other duties to be performed as assigned. Contributes to a positive working culture, builds strong relationships, and lives out the values of integrity, collaboration, and accountability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Design/Drafting Assist in CAD database set-up and migration to Solidworks, PDM, etc. Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings and more complex drawings. Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation when design service is requested by the Application Engineer or Product Manager. Review and modify information with supervision by the Product Managers and or Engineering team. Make data available to Application Engineers and Product Managers. Understand filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up to date revised drawings. Professional duties Attend regular development meetings. Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the CAD process. Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling. Incorporate feedback into 3D model designs. Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies.
