Description
The Systems Engineering Intern will support the systems engineering team across helicopter development, integration, and modification programs. This internship provides exposure to the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, system architecture, integration, and verification activities, while working under the guidance of experienced engineers. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Assist with requirements capture, documentation, and traceability for aircraft systems Support system architecture and solution development activities through research and analysis Help develop and update engineering specifications, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Assist senior engineers with trade studies and feasibility assessments to evaluate potential technical solutions Support validation and verification activities, including test planning and acceptance criteria documentation Participate in system integration planning and coordination activities Assist with preparation of technical documentation, presentations, and engineering reviews Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to systems engineering best practices in an авиаtion environment WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, Software, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field (junior or senior standing preferred) Interest in systems engineering concepts such as requirements management, system integration, and verification Exposure to aviation, aerospace, or complex mechanical systems through coursework, projects, or internships is a plus Familiarity with systems engineering standards (e.g., ARP4754A or ARP4761) is helpful but not required Basic awareness of FAA certification concepts (14 CFR Part 21, 29, and 43) is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical team members Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
