This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (running May-August). The role is based at our Bardstown Bottling Facility. As part of the Heaven Hill Summer Internship Program, you will directly support the organizations strategic goals through project work and business-critical assignments. We’re committed to providing valuable experience and professional development opportunities for students in our summer internship program. The summer experience consists of networking, intern development sessions & workshops, tours of Heaven Hill facilities, social events and more!  What the Role Is The Engineering Internship is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, gaining broad experience in various aspects of engineering, quality, and production. You will participate as a valuable member of the engineering team at Heaven Hill Brands by working directly with the engineering, maintenance, and production staffs to design, develop, and implement the engineering solutions on multi-disciplinary projects. Heaven Hill Brands is interested in the student’s development, as well as giving the opportunity to work in a real business environment within the Distilled Spirits Industry. This position will work under the guidance of a full-time engineer in the Project Engineering group.  This internship will support Engineering and Operations Strategic and Efficiency focused projects. They will also help with the successful implementation of capital projects as needed. Interns will provide work at the following locations: Bardstown Bottling, Springs Distillery (Bardstown) and Bernheim Distillery (Louisville).  How You Will Spend Your Time? * Participate as a multidisciplinary engineering team member supporting projects with defined timelines and deliverables * Assistengineers and engineering technicians with the design, development, integration, and testing of projects * Assistwith the documentation of engineering data,drawingsand spreadsheets * Provide technical support to project engineers * Assist in the development of project plans * Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives * Professional Development * Learn Engineering and Project Management Best Practices * Prepare and present findings and recommendations to internal teams throughout the internship. * Deliver a final presentation to the Executive Leadership Team summarizing your project work and key learnings. * Participate in developmental workshops, networking opportunities, and cross-functional exposure events. Who You Are… * Currently a junior / senior pursuing aBachelor’sdegree inanMechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel * Agile- Ability to multitask, time manage and prioritize * Ability to quickly adapt to change of priorities and direction * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work independently with concise instructions * Familiarity with modern drafting languages such as Solidworks and AutoCAD Physical Requirements While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to: * Stand; extensive walking; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms.  * Will be required to climb stairs and may be required to climb ladders.  * Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
