Responsibilities:
Perform assembly, bring up, and troubleshooting of opto/mechanical/electronic prototype test systems
Mechanical assembly testing using calibrated measurement tools
Electrical assembly and testing using specialized equipment
Maintain an organized lab to include part inventory, consumables, tools and 5S
Prioritize and balance multiple tasks to complete a given statement of work
Reach out to responsible design engineers for troubleshooting, clarification, and feedback
Adapt to a daily changing statement of work
Assist the wider organization with assembly work
Mechanical Skills:
Familiar with CAD systems (NX, SolidWorks)
Experience with bills of materials and assembly instructions
Experience with basic hand tools
Electrical Skills:
Hand soldering skills
Experience troubleshooting small electronic equipment
Familiarity with electronic analysis tools to include Multi Meters, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies
Ability to read electrical diagrams
General Skills:
Willingness to propose and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency
Communicate with the supervisor any customer issues or potential problems
Work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team
Great customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel
Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or 3 years of relevant experience
Troubleshooting experience for smaller electronics devices
Familiarity with electronic testing using software tools (testing scripts using Python or C++)
Experience in an assembly environment for consumer electronic devices
Experience with prototyping and flexible processes
