Job Description

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

High school and/or technical school education

  • Must be in excellent physical condition
  • Must possess a Valid Alberta drivers license
  • Previous Laborer experience required
  • Able to repair and replace brick pathways
  • Ability to work safely and ensure co-workers are working safely and adhering to the JPL safe work practices and confined space operations
  • Must be self motivated and able to work independently
  • Mechanically inclined and able to operate equipment an asset
  • Mechanical/Maintenance experience an asset

Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following

  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
  • Have knowledge of and assist other trades people as required
  • Provide quality work in keeping with Brand standards outlined by supervisor
  • Able to drive standard operational vehicles such as pickup truck, garbage truck, forklift and skyreach lift.
  • Act as backup relief sanitation attendant responsible for completing all duties for the role
  • Safely operate tools such as hand tools, chainsaw, hoist, rigging material, log splitter
  • Safely deploy and utilize ladders, and scaffolding equipment
  • Keep break room, storeroom and washrooms clean and sanitized
  • Maintain the cleanliness of mechanical rooms, vaults and storage areas.
  • Attend Sustainability meetings as required
  • Other duties as assigned
