Description:

In this role, you will play a vital part in optimizing plant performance by leading maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the overall success and growth of our business.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or related fields are required.
- Bilingual in French and English is required.
- Around 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment or similar heavy engineering industry.
- Proven experience in managing a large, multi-disciplined team.
- Experience in managing large Capital works programs and projects.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective preventative maintenance programs.
- Strong understanding of plant operations and maintenance best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software applications (e.g., CMMS, project management software).
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with specific industry-related equipment or technologies.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Post-graduate qualifications in management, project management/PMP, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma certification, or similar qualifications are preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective facilities, capital development, and plant maintenance strategies.
- Ensure proactive and cost-effective utilization of available resources.
- Maintain an optimum level of reliability through planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
- Manage and coordinate the plant’s capital expenditure requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Foremen, and technicians.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Analyze maintenance data and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement a robust preventative maintenance program.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades and installations.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant operations.
