Description

In this role, you will play a vital part in optimizing plant performance by leading maintenance activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the overall success and growth of our business.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) or related fields are required.
  • Bilingual in French and English is required.
  • Around 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment or similar heavy engineering industry.
  • Proven experience in managing a large, multi-disciplined team.
  • Experience in managing large Capital works programs and projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective preventative maintenance programs.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software applications (e.g., CMMS, project management software).

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with specific industry-related equipment or technologies.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in management, project management/PMP, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma certification, or similar qualifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective facilities, capital development, and plant maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure proactive and cost-effective utilization of available resources.
  • Maintain an optimum level of reliability through planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
  • Manage and coordinate the plant’s capital expenditure requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Foremen, and technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
  • Analyze maintenance data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement a robust preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Manage projects related to equipment upgrades and installations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize plant operations.
