About the position 📍 Location: Cikarang, Indonesia About the role The Engineering Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all plant utilities and engineering operations. This position oversees daily maintenance activities, leads engineering projects, and ensures that all systems operate in full compliance with regulatory and safety standards. As a key technical leader, you will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage contractors, control engineering budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The role requires strong expertise in industrial utility systems, hands‑on experience with ammonia refrigeration operations, and a deep understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance programs, leading troubleshooting efforts, analyzing root causes, and supporting audits and inspections. With a blend of technical knowledge, leadership capability, and project management skills, the Engineering Lead ensures seamless plant operations while enabling long‑term reliability and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities: Coordinate and supervise daily plant maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of engineering projects from scope development to commissioning. Oversee the safe and efficient operation of utility system and ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards related to utilities and engineering operations. Develop, implement, and optimize preventive, predictive, and reliability‑focused maintenance programs. Monitor and manage engineering budgets, including CAPEX and OPEX, ensuring cost control and accurate reporting. Manage contractors, external vendors, and service providers to ensure quality execution of maintenance and project work. Conduct and support audits, inspections, and risk assessments for utilities and engineering systems. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve technical issues and drive continuous improvement. Prepare engineering reports, project updates, and performance documentation for management review What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Min. of 3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance, utilities operations, or engineering roles within manufacturing environments. Proven expertise in ammonia refrigeration systems, including operation, troubleshooting, and safety compliance. Experience coordinating engineering projects and managing contractors. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of utility systems: ammonia refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, cooling towers, HVAC, water treatment, and electrical distribution. Proficiency with preventive and predictive maintenance programs (CMMS experience preferred). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID, equipment manuals, and engineering standards. Strong understanding of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methods (RCA, 5 Why, Kaizen, PDCA). Familiarity with engineering standards, safety regulations, and ammonia handling protocols.
