Key connecting role across the organisation Leverage your 3 Waters experience to shape the future of water services Opportunity to grow your mentoring and coaching skills This is a full time position of 40 hours per week The remuneration range for this role is $117,099 to $165,316 p.a (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience The opportunity The Engineering Lead provides strategic and technical leadership to ensure the planning and early design of resilient, high-performing, and fit-for-purpose water infrastructure across the region. This role leads the Engineering Services Networks team in delivering investigations and studies that inform investment decisions and support Wellington Water’s long-term strategic outcomes. You will competently be able to lead through change as we experience transition into the establishment of a new water entity. This is a time of significant growth as we build our in-house capability and grow our programme of work. A leadership and development opportunity not to be missed. About you To be successful in this role you will bring: 10+ years post qualification experience working at a senior level, preferably in 3 waters A Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Engineering (preferably civil or environmental engineering), Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or working towards this Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of engineers Technical knowledge across 3 waters engineering including climate change resilience Strong coaching and mentoring skills Proven collaborator – able to surface the most important issues, bring the right people together and facilitate robust decision making Benefits At Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
