This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 4000000 - Rs 7500000 (ie INR 40-75 LPA) Min Experience: 14 years Location: Chennai JobType: full-time As an Engineering Manager specializing in Salesforce, you will own the end-to-end success of one or more product lines built on the Salesforce ecosystem. This role blends deep technical expertise with people leadership, strategic thinking, and delivery ownership. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance, multi-tenant platforms that support critical business objectives, while fostering collaboration across product, engineering, and business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership across major Salesforce initiatives, including architecture reviews, design decisions, and solution planning Own delivery outcomes by managing timelines, quality standards, and team performance across multiple initiatives Build, lead, and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and innovation Partner closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals Guide teams through design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable Salesforce platforms Actively manage customer expectations and collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve complex challenges Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks proactively, ensuring issues are driven to resolution Document business processes, requirements, and solution designs aligned to Salesforce best practices Lead technical and functional workshops, providing hands-on guidance when needed Establish strong production support practices with high ownership and responsiveness What Makes You a Great Fit Extensive experience in software engineering with deep expertise in the Salesforce platform, including Service Cloud and modern Salesforce development practices Strong hands-on knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Lightning Flows, integrations, and modern web technologies Proven experience leading and scaling mid-to-large engineering teams in enterprise environments Solid understanding of APIs (REST/SOAP), microservices architectures, and cloud-based systems Demonstrated ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking and people leadership Comfortable operating in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating across geographies and cultures Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes in dynamic environments Passion for mentorship, innovation, and building teams that consistently deliver high-impact solutions
