ENGINEERING MACHINIST LOCATION - CARNFORTH

West Coast Railway are currently recruiting and require an experienced engineering machinist to be part of the team in our busy maintenance depot to manufacture components as per specifications laid down by the TOC. Adhere to local Depot protection, quality procedures and rules and regulations in force.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Experience/qualifications in all aspects of operating lathes, milling machines & surface grinders.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles would be a bonus.

Work Location: In perso

• To Undertake all machine operating tasks, using drawings & diagrams.
• Carry out machine component changes as required.
• Using the correct equipment undertake fault finding tasks.
• Complete environmental examinations against detailed specifications, detailing any issues found.
• Using appropriate paperwork record all work carried out and sign off for all work complete.
• Care for and return all tools and equipment used.
• Advise Supervisor of any problems or defects identified.
• Work effectively as part of a team, taking the lead if required.
• Undertake modifications and manufacture components as required.
  Shift Pattern 40.75 hours per week, normally over 5 days
