Position Summary The Facilities Maintenance Shift Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, dependable, and efficient execution of Facilities Operations and Maintenance services across the Central Passenger Terminal Complex. This role provides front-line leadership to multi-trade technicians within a 24/7, mission-critical airport environment while supporting contract performance, system uptime, and service standards. This role is critical to maintaining daily operational continuity across one of the world’s busiest airports. The Maintenance Shift Supervisor ensures maintenance activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contract requirements, directly supporting system reliability, passenger experience, and operational performance. This is an in-person position located in Atlanta, GA.  Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities * Provide direct supervision of maintenance personnel across assigned shifts to ensure safe and efficient operations. * Coordinate and dispatch technicians in response to issues reported through the Communications Center. * Monitor completion of preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities to ensure on-time performance. * Support system uptime across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, controls, and building infrastructure. * Ensure all work is documented accurately within the CMMS platform and administrative tasks are completed on schedule. * Conduct routine field inspections to verify quality of work, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety standards. * Enforce operational discipline, airport regulations, and company policies among assigned staff. * Assist with implementation of the quality control program, identifying deficiencies and supporting corrective actions. * Promote a strong safety culture by reinforcing safe work practices and ensuring proper use of PPE. * Maintain awareness of critical airport systems including communications, navigation, and security infrastructure. * Support planning and execution of utility shutdowns and other high-risk maintenance activities. * Collaborate with the Engineering Director on staffing needs, shift coverage, and operational priorities. * Participate in incident response and assist with service restoration during system failures or operational events. * Support contract performance by ensuring staffing levels, work completion, and inspection readiness meet established contract thresholds. Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Requirements & Qualifications * Minimum 5–7 years of progressive facilities maintenance experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. * Experience in a 24/7, mission-critical environment strongly preferred (aviation, healthcare, data centers, transportation hubs, large campuses, etc.). * Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage shift-based operations. * Experience working within performance-based service environments preferred. * Able to complete and pass all TSA and CBP screening and badging requirements for airport security clearance.  Education * Associate degree or technical certification in a mechanical, electrical, or related trade preferred; equivalent experience considered. * Relevant trade licenses or certifications are a plus. Technical Expertise * Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems. * Familiarity with building automation and control systems. * Understanding preventive maintenance programs and asset management practices. * Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards. * Experience utilizing CMMS platforms for work order management.
