As an Engineering Manager, you will actively engage in your engineering craft while leading multiple high-visibility initiatives. You will manage and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality, outcome-focused software solutions that delight customers and create measurable business value. This role requires deep technical expertise, hands-on leadership, and a strong commitment to engineering excellence. You will serve as a role model and mentor, guiding cross-functional teams through the design, development, testing, deployment, and operation of modern, scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities Outcome-Driven Accountability Drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes Lead engineering teams to solve complex problems through high-quality, lean designs and implementations Ensure delivery of solutions that generate tangible value for the business Technical Leadership and Advocacy Act as the technical advocate for products and engineering teams Promote and support evolutionary releases (alpha, beta, MVP) Ensure proper planning, architectural alignment, code integrity, quality standards, and non-functional requirements (NFRs) Align engineering execution with customer goals and business priorities Engineering Craftsmanship Foster a strong culture of engineering excellence and craftsmanship Remain hands-on with design, configuration, and code as needed to support team velocity Perform code reviews, optimizations, and enforce coding standards Identify and remove blockers while ensuring technical debt is addressed continuously within sprints Mentor and coach engineers to develop strong product-focused craftsmanship Encourage experimentation, learning, and adoption of new technologies Customer-Centric Engineering Lead teams in building lean solutions using rapid, low-cost experimentation Engage with customers and product teams to deliver the right solution at the right time Incremental and Iterative Delivery Promote a mindset that values action and evidence over extensive upfront planning Navigate complexity and uncertainty through incremental and iterative delivery Ensure solutions are maintainable, supportable, and scalable Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, experience, delivery, infrastructure, and security Balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value in decision-making Foster collaboration, innovation, and strong team synergy Advanced Technical Proficiency Apply modern software engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD Utilize advanced deployment strategies such as Blue-Green and Canary deployments to minimize downtime and enable experimentation Act as a role model for engineering best practices and continuous improvement Lead product development from concept through scaling with a focus on quality and learning Domain Expertise and Communication Rapidly acquire domain knowledge relevant to the business or product Translate business and user needs into actionable engineering plans (sprint plans, tasks, priorities) Navigate enterprise environments and align engineering efforts with organizational goals Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence stakeholders through evidence-based decision-making Engagement and Collaborative Co-Creation Engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from engineers to senior executives Build strong relationships and foster a culture of co-creation and shared ownership Align diverse perspectives and drive consensus on feasible solutions Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline Advanced degree (e.g., MS) preferred but not required Strong foundation in software engineering and product architecture, including: Business Context Diagrams (BCD) Sequence, activity, state, ER, and data flow diagrams Object-Oriented Programming (OOP/OOD) Data structures, algorithms, and code instrumentation 10+ years of hands-on engineering experience with technologies such as: Angular, React, Node.js Python, Streamlit C#, .NET Core, Golang SQL and NoSQL databases Unit testing frameworks 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams in product engineering organizations from inception to delivery 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native engineering using FaaS, PaaS, and microservices on Microsoft Azure 3+ years of experience with AI/ML and Generative AI (preferred) Deep understanding of modern engineering methodologies and tools, including: XP, Lean, SAFe DevSecOps, SRE Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub, SonarQube Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects, changing priorities, and diverse teams Demonstrated passion, empathy, and care in leadership and collaboration Work Timing CST, Nashville, Tennessee Hours per week 40 Duration of Contract 3 Months Application Process Please visit Jobs at Mindverse Consulting Services Private Limited and locate the applicable job title.
