The Engineering Manager – AI & IT Applications is accountable for end‑to‑end engineering ownership of a large and diverse enterprise application landscape, spanning engineering platforms, ERP systems, business applications, SaaS tools, and AI-enabled systems. The role leads application Discover → Separate → Migrate → Stabilize programs, ensures regulatory and AI governance compliance, and builds sustainable internal engineering capability with minimal vendor dependency. What will you do? Own engineering delivery and operational accountability across Discover → Separate → Migrate → Stabilize phases Drive application rationalization, modernization, and standardization across a complex software estate Lead SAP and non‑SAP migrations, including ERP consolidation and Oracle → SAP transformations Own engineering decision authority across assigned portfolios, including technology selection and decommissioning Establish and enforce engineering standards, delivery governance, and operating models (Agile, DevOps, ITSM) Ensure stable run operations, performance, security, and lifecycle management post‑migration Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing internal engineering teams across application domains Lead vendor separation, knowledge transition, and cost optimization, reducing long‑term dependency Partner with senior business, IT, security, data privacy, and architecture leaders to align outcomes AI & Regulatory Accountability Own engineering accountability for AI-enabled and AI-embedded applications Ensure compliance with EU AI Act, GDPR, and enterprise AI governance requirements, including: AI system inventory accuracy Risk classification and human oversight requirements Technical documentation and audit readiness Partner with Legal, Risk, and Data teams to ensure compliant AI adoption and operations Financial & Risk Accountability Own application portfolio run costs, transformation budgets, and vendor spend optimization Drive measurable ROI from application rationalization and modernization Proactively manage delivery, operational, security, and regulatory risks Experience, Education and other Required: 15+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering and delivery Proven leadership in large‑scale application separation, migration, or carve‑out programs Strong experience managing mixed on‑prem, SaaS, cloud, and AI‑enabled application landscapes Demonstrated success leading multi‑technology, multi‑vendor global environments Skills & Expertise Mandatory: Enterprise application engineering & lifecycle management SAP ERP and large-scale SAP / non‑SAP migrations Complex engineering application landscapes (CAD, BIM, simulation tools) Delivery governance, operating models, and standards Senior people leadership and capability building Vendor separation and knowledge transition Preferred: AI/ML‑enabled enterprise applications and governance Oracle to SAP migration experience EU AI Act or regulated AI system exposure What we offer: In return, we offer a wide range of rewards and benefits, 20 days Privilege Leave, 13 days Emergency leave and 14 Public holidays per year Global Career Progression Opportunities Medical Insurance, Life Insurance ED&I: When it comes to diversity and inclusion, we see things differently at Linxon - we encourage applications from people of all races, ages, genders, religions, sexual orientations and more - so whoever you are, we hope you’ll see things our way, too.
