Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and coach a team hardware engineers, overseeing workload, career development, and technical output. Technical Roadmap: Partner with Autonomous Driving and Vehicle Platform teams to define hardware specs and manage component integration schedules. Supplier Management: Drive technical relationships with hardware vendors and oversee component validation and sourcing alongside procurement. Lifecycle Excellence: Establish best practices for component testing, integration, and lifecycle management to support a scalable autonomous fleet. Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding to expand internal expertise in specialized component areas. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with other engineering managers to refine internal processes and improve organizational workflows. Requirements Leadership Experience: Proven background as an engineering manager or technical lead with experience heading a team. AV Hardware Expertise: Deep technical foundation in autonomous vehicle components, specifically sensors, compute, and hardware architecture. Project Delivery: Track record of shipping complex hardware projects and managing cross-functional integration with external suppliers. Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, particularly in managing external vendor relationships. Academic Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
