Description

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join Smartly and lead the Creators team within our Creative group. The Creators team builds the tools our customers use to produce creative variations at scale, powering the workflows that turn ideas into impactful ads seen by millions. As an Engineering Manager, your role is to ensure the team delivers the right things at the right time with high quality and clarity of purpose. You’ll focus on enabling your team to succeed through coaching, regular 1:1s, and personal development planning, while also actively identifying and removing blockers in their path. The Creative group is responsible for Smartly’s end-to-end creative tooling, from creative asset management to automation and optimization. The Creators team plays a key role in this mission by building intuitive, scalable tools that help our customers efficiently create, version, and collaborate on their ad creatives. What we’re looking for: You are an experienced people leader with proven ability in building and leading high-performing teams You have experience throughout the full software life-cycle in an environment with multiple teams You have built and maintained large-scale, high-availability web applications with an active and growing user base You have experience in various agile development practices as well as the pragmatism to know which tradeoffs are acceptable and a sharp focus on delivery. Ability to deliver constructive feedback that leads to meaningful changes and growth. Empathy and user-focused mentality: you care deeply about the product experience, you understand users’ motivations and frustrations, and you genuinely want to help them You are a skilled developer.
