ENGINEERING MANAGER
Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Dublin,
Department: Data Cloud
We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager, to join the Data cloud team, to work in the Dublin office, on a hybrid working model.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in an engineering management role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to groom and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies preferred.
- Expertise in AWS, Python, and systems design, particularly with data-heavy systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Ability to collaborate and share ideas via wikis, discussion boards, etc., for the benefit of the team.
- Proven track record of hands-on technical work and providing leadership on complex technology issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of geographically distributed engineers to drive technological advancements.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects using agile methodologies.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project goals and ensure seamless integration.
- Provide technical direction and expertise in AWS, systems design, and data-heavy environments.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and build a development roadmap.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and manage the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and tracking expenditures.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management with actionable insights and recommendations.
